The team was brought together for many reasons, primarily:
- to help local athletes mature their cycling careers.
- to promote cycling advocacy within the community through service projects and interaction with people of all ages.
- to present youth with a positive outlet for healthy lifestyle choices.

Biographies of team members:
Blake
- Favorite spot to ride and why: DryHill Port Angeles, WA; I know all of the trails by heart since it is where I usually ride. All of the trails are different and present different challenges and obstacles to overcome. It's a great place to ride.
- How did you get into racing: My Uncle told me a little bit about downhill racing and the Olympic Dirt Society (who hosts NW Cup). I convinced my parents into spectating and that quickly changed into racing!
- If you could have any super power what would it be: to fly, so that I can see things from different angles.
- Favorite spot to ride and why: Cappy's Trails, Port Townsend, WA; I can ride them from my own home and since there is such diversity I can find what I need.
- How did you get into racing: Road racing many years ago, which quickly evolved into realizing that mountain biking is an entirely different sport which captured my attention much more.
- If you could have any super power what would it be: I'd be taller and more graceful.
- Favorite spot to ride and why: Banner Forest, Olympia, WA; it's where all the cool kids go.
- How did you get into racing: I always knew I wanted to be a racer. When I was four I asked my mom if I could ride with the big kids and she encouraged me to go for it.
- If you could have any super power what would it be: the ability to tuck and roll.
- Favorite spot to ride and why: Anderson Lake, Chimacum, WA; there is a little bit of everything, and the up-and-coming "Connector Trail" is a blast to ride and work on.
- How did you get into racing: In college I entered the Massannutten Hoo-Ha one year and had a blast. The vibe was awesome, almost a glorified group ride. Racers would stop and camp out at some of the technical bits and only the hard core spandex guys seemed really concerned with "winning".
- If you could have any super power what would it be: It might be easier to ask me what super power I'd be OK with losing at this point.
- Favorite spot to ride and why: Duthie Hill MTB Park, Issaquah, WA; Ryan's Eternal Flow... just because
- How did you get into racing: I wanted to be like the pros
- If you could have any super power what would it be: to be like Speedy Gonzales
- Favorite spot to ride and why: Downieville, CA; it's endless fun
- How did you get into racing: Been racing forever, one of my friends older brother got me into racing BMX, then I skate boarded for a long time, I always had a bike and found myself back on the bike with dirt jumping and getting into free ride mtn. biking, raced the Sea Otter other races in Nor Cal.
- If you could have any super power what would it be: pedal like a motor and never get tired
- Favorite spot to ride and why: Gibbs Lake County Park, Chimacum, WA; as a member of Quimper Trails Association, I help build and maintain the trails there and know all the roots like the back of my hands. And I really enjoy Duthie Hill Mountain Bike Park, because there is lots of variety in a small space.
- How did you get into racing: My first race was years ago. Tried it once and now I am hooked. Raced cross-country on and off for 15 years. Started racing DH in 2009. Placed 1st overall Cat III 40+ Fluidride Cup.
- If you could have any super power what would it be: to roar like a lion to scare off the competition.
- Favorite spot to ride and why: the North Fork, Cascades, WA; Almost whenever I am up there I run into someone I know, mainly from riding there. It has some fantastic trails, both super techy and chundery, and fast flowy jump lines.
- How did you get into racing: I got into racing as an opportunity to get a shuttle ride. Since my first race I have found that it pushes me to get better, I am competitive and don't like getting beat down the hill. Racing is the best way to pit myself against other riders and has been a great way to meet new riders and friends.
- If you could have any super power what would it be: to fly, it would be amazing to fly anywhere I wanted to zoom over trees and mountains.
- Favorite spot to ride and why: Port Angeles, WA; it's steep, technical and flowy with good variety.
- How did you get into racing: my friend had a video of Down Hill mountain biking. A year later I had bought a Hardtail and did my first Super D.
- If you could have any super power what would it be: flying, because I could get to all the cool bike parks faster and I wouldn't have to worry about crashing on a jump because I could always save myself by flying if I was going to case it.
- Favorite spot to ride and why: in Colorado; more elevation, crazier people.
- How did you get into racing: a childhood friend dared me to do my first race. And I lost. To a girl.
- If you could have any super power what would it be: eating the perfect food before a race.
Paul
- Favorite spot to ride and why: It doesn't matter where I ride, as long as I'm with good buddies.
- How did you get into racing: I bought a DH bike and the NW Cup race series is in my back yard. I put two and two together and the rest is history.
- If you could have any super power what would it be: Time Travel; it's pretty self explanatory.
- Favorite spot to ride and why: Curly Lake trail, MT : 17miles 5,000ft of climbing, this trail gives you so much to appreciate... long unforgiving climbs, majestic views, rallying descents, and the senses of accomplishment.
- How did you get into racing: I worked in a bike shop in central Minnesota called Out ‘N’ About Gear in early 2001. Racing was a very important part of what everyone did during the summer and inevitably, I was sucked into it. Not that I really put up a fight. Started cross-country racing in the summer of 2002 and then endurance racing in the fall of 2003 at the 24 hours of Afton, MN. I’ve been racing cross country and endurance racing since. I just started Down Hill racing this last year (2010) in the NW Cup Series. Once again, I watched a race and owned a DH bike the next month.
- If you could have any super power what would it be: The ability to never tire out, to have continual energy.
- Favorite spot to ride and why: what can be said about my favorite places to ride… Not a lot, because they don’t exist. Sure there are many spots to ride, with the increasing adrenaline through the descent of the mountains to the thrill of reaching the peak of our hang time. There are lots of reasons why we ride the places we do.
- How did you get into racing: One of my buddies was into mountain biking, so I told him I was too. I had the “sickest” mountain bike ever, it was the well known Giant Yukon hardtail. With the 1.9” tires for optimal speed and precision line picking through sticky downhill sections only equipped with the finest bottom line parts Shimano has to offer. It was the best downhill/dirt jumper EVER…
- If you could have any super power what would it be: poetry writer. I'm working on it, but there is room for improvement.
- Favorite place to ride? Any place my tires are in the dirt.
- How did you get into racing: The opportunity was there in my back yard.
- If you could have any super power what would it be: the ability to convince people that nutrition is the most important aspect of a good training program. No one can not out train a bad diet.
