Winter Wanderland...

In like a lion and out like a lamb or in like a lamb and out like a lion? We are still open our regular hours and dreaming and scheming about what is next to come as February winds itself down. The following photo is one to remind us of what's out there in the rest of the world, while we're hunkered down in our blizzard. We received our first photo of the first Broken Spoke jersey in Death Valley! Thank you Jane. We wish you many more bike rides!

Last night was Willie's presentation on Portugal. 80 brave individuals made it to his fantastic story. Thank you Olympic Hostel and Jefferson Trails Coalition for putting on such an amazing speaker series for the Winter Wanderlust show. We look forward to our own adventures this season and to hearing of the new ones next winter season.

THIS SUNDAY is the Chilly Hilly 33 mile Tour of Bainbridge Island. Some of us will be out there and stoked to get some chilly riding in... http://shop.cascade.org/content/events/chilly-hilly
"Enjoy:
-a scenic cruise on a Washington State Ferry (assuming you're coming from Seattle)
-free baked goods & hot cider at the Hot Cider Food Stop
-supporting 10 local Bainbridge Island charities
-Finish Line Festival with fantastic chili feed that is a fundraiser"
*Don't have your own bike but interested in doing it? The Broken Spoke has road rentals available for the day. Call or stop in to reserve yours today... six bicycles left for rental!!

Getting out and riding...

Hello everyone~

Some of the crew here at the shop have been getting out riding and doing some trail work. QTA has been putting in lots of hours making the trails we ride better and better.

We have also been doing some filming when we get a chance. Here is just a sample.

We hope to see you out on a ride, be it dirt or road.

Sun

If you have looked at the weather forecast, like we have, you would know that sun is in the forecast. Your bike may not have seen the sun for months, so be sure to give it some attention before you go for that spring maiden voyage.

The Broken Spoke guarantees a 24 hour service turnaround when all parts are in-stock. We also provide a pick-up and drop-off service if you schedule is too busy. You can see all of our service prices by clicking the "Services" tab above.

Up Coming Events

The 2011 Winter Wanderlust program benefits the Jefferson Trails Coalition and HI-Olympic Guesthouse and Hostel. This years programs have been great and there are only three shows left. On Wednesday February 23rd at 7:30pm, we'll be sponsoring Willie Wier's presentation about his recent bicycle adventure crisscrossing Portugal! Great presentation for the whole family.

Mountain bikers and Down-hillers alike will be happy to know that we are a proud sponsor of the NW Cup! This 2011 season's dates are already posted on our Events page. We look forward to seeing you in the shop before the races for advice, new parts, tune ups and all other needs. We are stoked to see you up on the mountain as well! Good luck to everyone and keep us posted on your NW Cup adventures.

Valentines Day is fast approaching.

If you haven't thought about what to get that special someone in your life for Valentines Day yet, you should come in and get some ideas. Nothing says "I Love You" quite like carbon fiber. So show him or her how much you care.
