Do you love the trails in your community?

Many people came out this weekend to do trail work on a section of Port Townsend's public path system. So many of us use these trails everyday to exercise, get to work, or just to bask in nature. The Port Townsend Non-motorized Transportation Advisory Board (NMTAB) had a work party on Saturday at 9:30-12:00. If you are interested in finding out when the next work party is you can contact the city of Port Townsend or keep an eye on this site.

Get them started young!

Thank you for all your hard work.

Trail Day at Howard Street Trail on January 14th

Trail Day at Howard Street Trail on January 14th

The next bi-monthly trail day sponsored by the City of Port Townsend's Non-Motorized Transportation Board will be held at the Howard Street right-of-way between Hamilton Heights and Discovery Road on Saturday, January 14th from 9 am to noon.
The board decided to gravel this low-lying trail, starting at each side of the corridor from 14th to 18th Streets.
Any trail volunteers interested in helping should meet at either the 14th Street (south side) to be met by Lowell Jons or 18th Street (north side) to be met by Scott Walker, as gravel piles will be located at each end and we will work to meet in the middle.
Equipment needed will be: sturdy wheel barrows, shovels, rakes and work gloves. The volunteer crew will work rain or shine. Registration is required and snacks will be served. For more information, contact walkers@olympus.net.
We will see you out there!
