Electric Bicycles

Give your cycling adventures a boost with an electric-assist bicycle! These bikes, also called e-bikes, use a battery-powered electric motor to amplify pedaling, taking the huff and puff out of hills and long rides. You still do the work; the motor simply helps you get more from your effort. Trek offers a dozen e-bike models for city, trail, and casual riding with either conventional or step-through frame designs. You’ll recognize some of Trek’s most popular lines among them, such as Dual Sport, Neko, and Powerfly, an e-bike version of the Superfly mountain bike. We also carry the Townie Go! e-bike, a cruiser style bicycle great for cruising around our parks and casual trails like the Larry Scott Memorial Trail.
Stop by the shop for a look and a test ride.
Join us at Blue Heron Middle School on Sunday, April 2, from 10am to 4pm for our demo event.

Save the date for May 21

Greetings all!
This year's Rhody Run is coming up on May 21st with an 11am start time. Why do we tell you to save the date? Because they need cyclists to lead out and clear the course for the start of the race.

We need riders interested in leading out the runners at the start of the race. Riders need to be  strong and confident riders willing to stop cars from entering the course. More details to be announced, or come in and ask Pete!

Thanks, and get out there and ride.
For more running details, head to the Rhody Run website.

Middle and High School Mountain Biking teams

One of the fastest growing school sports is one its participants can enjoy well beyond graduation: mountain biking.  Hundreds of middle and high school mountain bike teams across the United States bring the adventure and fun of the trail to thousands of young people.  Teams teach bike skills and safe riding practices as well as stewardship of the natural resources that make mountain biking possible.  Races cultivate camaraderie along with competition.  There are no cars to contend with, offering a safer environment to let those wheels roll.  Best of all, mountain biking becomes fun for life, whether cyclists continue in broader competitive events or take to the trails for the pure joy of it.

Bontrager tires support youth cycling

Do you know that every Bontrager tire you buy from your Trek dealer helps support youth mountain biking teams and programs across the country?

Trek donates $1 from the purchase of any tire to the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA).

NICA sponsors nearly 600 mountain bike teams in middle schools and high schools in more than 20 states. NICA teams are all-inclusive; every cyclist matters and every finish counts. There are no bench-warmers in mountain bike racing!

Trek is also NICA's lead sponsor, donating $1 million a year in addition to the amount generated from tire sales.
