Dear Trail Supporter:
This month the Peninsula Trails Coalition board meeting will be held in Port Townsend at the Community Center at Lawrence & Tyler on Wednesday, 3/9 at 7:00PM.  I encourage you to come to this meeting.
Items for discussion will include the funding effort for the route determination study for connection of the Larry Scott Trail to the Discovery Bay community.  Funding issues regarding the work scheduled for this summer at the Maynard (Discovery Bay) will also be discussed.  In addition, reports on the recruitment of trail maintenance adopters, organization of an event fundraising committee, and future fundraisers, will be given.
this is an open, public meeting, so please come, meet your board members, and participate in the discussions on your Olympic Discovery Trail.  Thank you.

Mussels in the Kettles- March 12, 2016

The annual Mussels in the Kettles Mountain Bike and Poker Ride takes place Saturday, March 12, 2016 on beautiful Whidbey Island. Start location for this fun event (NOT a race!) is Coupeville High School. Riders can choose one of three routes through Fort Ebey and The Kettles parks based on skill level. Routes are color-coded green/easy, blue/moderate, and black/expert. Distance, elevation gain, and technical challenge increase with each level. Info at http://musselsinthekettles.net.

But wait - there's more, if you're heading over on the ferry from Port Townsend. The tides make mischief with the Port Townsend/Coupeville ferry schedule for Saturday, March 12, 2016.

These are the REVISED morning sailing times from Port Townsend (3/12/16 only):
6:10am
7:40am
9:10am

Afternoon ferry sailings are as regularly scheduled. Book your ferry reservation early (wsdot.com/ferries) as the morning is one sailing short of the regular crossings and reservations are likely to fill fast.
