Stottlemeyer trails temporarily CLOSED

North Kitsap Trails Association
The North Kitsap Trails Association wants to let trail users know that Port Gamble trails are closed temporarily due to extreme fire hazard. Here is a link to the Pope Resources website for more information. The NKTA website will have an update when the trails are reopened.
Announcement from Pope Resources:
Effective immediately, Olympic Resource Management, a Pope Resources Company, will be temporarily closing all recreational access to all its Hood Canal Tree Farm properties in Jefferson, Kitsap, and Mason counties. The closure will remain in effect until significant rainfall occurs.
ORM regrets the inconvenience to those who enjoy and respect the property; however the dry conditions make for extreme fire hazard conditions and threaten private and public resources.
Pope Resources owns and manages nearly 71,000 acres of forestland on its Hood Canal Tree Farm in Kitsap, Mason, and Jefferson Counties.
Thank you,
North Kitsap Trails Association
