Support The ReCyclery with a Day of Cycling!
The Tour de Forts is the ReCyclery's annual community bike ride and our largest fundraising event. This beautiful ride takes cyclists of all ages and abilities on a scenic and historic trip, visiting up to three old seaside coastal defense forts. Choose from several different supported routes varying in length from 11 to 62 miles. Rest stops will allow riders to take in beautiful seaside views and refill water bottles while enjoying local and regional recovery snacks.
All
proceeds from the event benefit our ongoing mission to encourage and
support cycling throughout the community. The 2015 and 2016 events each
raised approximately $5,000 for the ReCyclery's ongoing programs,
including:
- Cyclist safety education at Blue Heron and Chimacum Middle Schools
- Bike mechanic apprenticeships
- Earn-A-Bike volunteer program
- OCEAN Bike School for children in independent-study programs
- Scholarships for The Ratfish, our coed middle school mountain bike team
- Community shop days
- Holiday children's bike giveaways
- The annual Cranksgiving food drive
- Reduced-cost and free bicycles for qualifying community members
- Ongoing bicycle infrastructure projects
As an added treat for participants, we are proud to announce that Finnriver will
be our gracious hosts for this year's ride. All routes will leave from
the Finnriver Orchard & Cider Garden. Upon return, all riders can
end a beautiful day of cycling with food, beverages, and live music!

includes a Tour de Forts 2017 t-shirt and, for rides 21 years or older,
a complimentary pint of Finnriver cider at the end of the ride.
