Is your bike ready for the shinanigans?

There are so many events coming up in the next few weeks for the cycling community.

First is the Tour De Tweed. This event will be fun for people of all ages. We will leave The Broken Spoke at 3:00pm Saturday April 2nd and finish at The Undertown Coffee shop at 4:00pm for high tea. Other beverages (besides tea) will be available as well as food. But most importantly it is a tweed ride because there are prizes for some of the best dressed people.

Second on the agenda is the first of the NW Cup Down Hill Series. The race is on April 10th but spectators are welcome on the course as early as Thursday to watch practice. This race will be the debut event for Broken Spoke Racing Team. We are very excited to be apart of this event both as a shop and as a team. We would love to see you out there in any capacity; as a racer or a spectator on the trail. This is also an event that is fun for all ages. It is not that often you get to see World Cup level racers at their finest.

Third is the first of the Women’s trail rides! These events will meet at The Broken Spoke on the 16th of each month. April's ride starts at The Broken Spoke at 6pm; other dates and times are listed for each month. We’ll start out and crisscross around town on pavement and trail systems practicing skills and having fun on all of the great trails Port Townsend has to offer! Women of all levels welcome! Plan for more than an hour.

Finally, Thursday April 7th is the kick off for the evening Road Rides. Starting from the shop at 5:30 and going out to enjoy the roads of our county. This is a no drop ride so all are welcome to attend. Average ride is 20 miles and about 15 miles per hour.

For more events please check out our Upcoming Events page above. We look forward to seeing you out on the road and trails.

Cheers
The Broken Spoke Staff.

P.S. April 1st brings in our summer hours! Seven days a week, and longer hours! Wahoo!
